System Maintenance and Administration: - Manage and maintain servers, workstations, and networking equipment to ensure their optimal performance and availability. - Perform routine system updates, patches, and backups to safeguard data integrity and system security. - Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and resolve them in a timely manner. 2. Network Management: - Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure seamless connectivity and security. - Implement and manage VPNs and remote access solutions for secure off-site access. - Troubleshoot network issues and optimize network performance. 3. User Support: - Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software-related problems. - Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and security policies. - Assist with onboarding and training of new employees on IT systems and procedures. 4. Security and Compliance: - Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect data and systems. - Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Assist in disaster recovery planning and execution. 5. Documentation and Reporting: - Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and procedures. - Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions for management and compliance purposes. 6. Collaboration: - Collaborate with the IT team to plan and execute IT projects, system upgrades, and technology initiatives. - Work closely with vendors to evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies and solutions. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role. - Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. - Proficiency in network administration and security best practices. - Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. - Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are advantageous.
