This team creates, maintains, and troubleshoots Windows instances on multiple networks, in multiple architectures. The ideal candidate works well in a small team setting, has a desire to learn hands-on Windows desktop and server (virtualized and non-virtualized) administration, AWS Cloud and automation/scripting techniques, and communicates well with team members. Required skills: • Must be proficient in Windows based operating systems. • Monitor servers for health and status. • Provides Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. • User account administration. • Ability to prepare technical documentation (i.e. SOPs, wikis, etc). • Knowledge of system security controls. • Ability to provide Windows tech support to team members, including multiple development teams. Desired skills: • Automated instance provisioning (Deploy via Kickstart, VMWare template, AWS AMI). • Experience building, configuring, and maintaining Windows platforms (physical and/or virtual). • Experience with or understanding of services such as DNS, DHCP, NFS, Active Directory, group policies, OUs, vSphere, VMWare Horizon, Citrix. • Experience with AWS Cloud and Services. • Experience with scripting and patching. • Pro-active and self-motivated. • Quick learner. • Ability to follow instructions and excellent communicator. • Work to be performed in Laurel, MD.
