Warehouse Packer JOB DESCRIPTION - WAREHOUSE PACKER Hours: M-F 9:30 am - 6:00 pm Compensation: $16 - $24 per hour; A warehouse associate has the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform job duties in all areas of the warehouse as needed to meet company goals and priorities. Specific Department Job Requirements Order Packing Department: • Able to learn documented packing guides • Able to learn packing procedures on the fly • Able to use desktop to containerize orders (think checkout stand at self service grocery store) • Accurately and efficiently confirm that all items picked are packed into the best fit box for each order • Be friendly and open to input from packing manager and fellow team members General Job Requirements • Be able to bend, stoop, grasp, cut open boxes with a box knife and do all while exceed safety standards throughout shift • Accurately and neatly label product and cases • Be self motivated to maintain efficient pace and seek more work from manager once picks are complete • Participate in training of job duties • Perform job duties at or above performance standards • Accurately record time performed on job duties per the Time Clock system or paper forms provided • Attention to detail • High quality of work maintained at all times • Fill out forms per job requirements • Accurately and consistently follow record keeping per work instructions and management direction • Maintain a clean work area • Consistently work in a safe manner • Notify management of all issues, accidents, incidents, and injuries • Use hand held RF picking device • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally Ad Hoc Responsibilities, On occasion: • Perform cleaning activities • Label incoming product with unit or case labels • Perform assembly functions which can include item ticketing, literature assembly and product builds Working Conditions Environmental: Warehouse environment; exposure to computer screens, heat, cold, dust. Physical: Essential functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for using a step ladder, extreme heat and cold and potential safety hazards; working with heavy equipment and supplies; operating motorized equipment or vehicle; operate a computer and keyboard; near visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; manual dexterity to operate a telephone and computer keyboard; reach horizontally and vertically, bend and stoop.'
