Position Summary Details The Cleaner position provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area. Essential Functions • Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities. • Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc. • Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities • Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned. For information about ABM’s benefits, visit ABM 2024 Employee Benefits | Front Line Team Members | (Programa de Beneficios de ABM) Responsibilities • Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping or vacuuming them. • Clean the assigned area in a distribution or fulfillment center. • Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. • Sometimes using ladders, dusts, walls, machines, and equipment; and dusts and polishes light fixtures. • Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks • Will remove stains/ spills from such surfaces as rugs, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. • Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications • Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment • Gathers and empties trash • Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas • Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures • Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms • Periodically cleans overhead vents, dusts blinds • Cleans windows, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees • Must keep janitor’s closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order • Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties • Miscellaneous duties as assigned • This role will require you to be constantly on the move for an 10-hour shift which leads to miles of walking in one shift • Moving and stacking pallets or cutting down cardboard boxes • Bending is required in cleaning high and low spaces in a distribution center or warehouse environment. Qualifications • Must be 18 years of age or older Preferred Qualifications: • Customer Service Experience • 1 yr of similar work experience • Current employees cannot have any corrective actions for policy violations with in the last 6 months.
