The Virtual Sales Rep works to build strong relationships with our Professional customers, execute a sales strategy that supports the organization's goals and increases the company's market share. They also manage the full sales cycle for their book of business and are responsible for attaining assigned sales plans and gross margin targets - so they must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, collaborating with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, negotiating projects, and closing sales. The Virtual Sales Rep must demonstrate broad product and services knowledge and utilize a comprehensive business acumen and knowledge of other functional departments to support the growth of their portfolio; effectively collaborate with departments such as Merchandising, Operations and Credit Services. 60% Outbound Account Strategy & Management. 30% Inbound Account & Order Management. 10% Account Review & Development. The Virtual Sales Representative is an hourly position, based in the Chicago area with a schedule of: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm CST. Position Purpose: We are looking for a skilled and competitive virtual sales representative to manage and grow sales for assigned accounts in their portfolio. This position plays a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. The Virtual Sales Rep works to build strong relationships with our Professional customers, execute a sales strategy that supports the organization's goals and increases the company's market share. They also manage the full sales cycle for their book of business and are responsible for attaining assigned sales plans and gross margin targets - so they must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, collaborating with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, negotiating projects, and closing sales. The Virtual Sales Rep must demonstrate broad product and services knowledge and utilize a comprehensive business acumen and knowledge of other functional departments to support the growth of their portfolio; effectively collaborate with departments such as Merchandising, Operations and Credit Services. Key Responsibilities: • 60% Outbound Account Strategy & Management • 30% Inbound Account & Order Management • 10% Account Review & Development Direct Manager/Direct Reports: • This position reports to the Virtual Sales Manager. • This position has no direct reports. Travel Requirements: • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Physical Requirements: • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Working Conditions: • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Minimum Qualifications: • Must be eighteen years of age or older. • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. • Must pass a Drug Test • Must Pass Background Check Preferred Qualifications: • Retail, proven inside sales or telephone sales experience. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM Minimum Education: • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a associate's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
