Your responsibilities in the Sales & Service/Distribution division will include providing customer support along with the distribution of goods. Handles the distribution of products and administers sales and customer care services. Maintains a cordial and helpful rapport with patrons and others, demonstrating familiarity with standard postal laws, procedures, and regulations. They play a critical role in providing a positive customer experience by providing efficient, reliable, and friendly service. Provides excellent customer service by welcoming customers to the store, providing an overview of the store's layout and offerings, and directing them towards suitable sales or promotional activities that are likely to interest them. Educates customers about the products and services provided, including informing them about exclusive offers, suggesting complementary goods and services, and promoting items that cater to their needs. Furthermore, offers additional insight into the features of the product and available services. Deals with customer purchases and returns with regards to goods and services using point of sale technology. Offers assistance to customers conducting transactions. To keep customers attracted to the retail lobby, displays and merchandise racks are frequently rearranged and restocked, and the selling and storage areas remain neat and organized. Tracks product stock by physically counting the items available, attaching or taking off security devices, and ensuring the accuracy of displayed items. Maintains accurate records of sales floor inventories and identifies discrepancies and theft reports to the appropriate supervisory personnel. It is necessary to check and confirm the accuracy of presort and bulk mailings for all types of mail classifications while also keeping track of the mailers' credit balances. Conducts regular inspections and calibration of post office postage meters to prevent errors in postage rates. Post office boxes are managed by providing them on lease, generating income for the rental service, conducting verifications of applicants, and fulfilling paperwork prerequisites. The job involves managing and assigning accountable items and distributing mail as required. The distribution of incoming mail is completed by an individual who has an understanding of the established distribution scheme within the office, branch, or station. This includes allocating the primary and secondary schemes of mail to their respective delivery points. Distributes primary and secondary schemes of outgoing mail for dispatch by implementing knowledge of current distribution methods. The position may entail executing or completing passport tasks assigned, which cover validating identity and photo identification, prompting an oath, reviewing application forms for accuracy, validating the application with a stamp or seal, and supervising the proper storage and prompt mailing of related documents. Along with everyday tasks, additional duties may include maintaining accurate mail records, canceling and sorting mail, coordinating emergency carrier relays, tagging and bundling mail for dispatch, and any other relevant responsibilities associated with the distribution of mail
