Systems Administrator II, Infrastructure Operations CardWorks Servicing, 225 W Station Square Drive, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States of America Req #9483 Monday, July 22, 2024 CardWorks Servicing ("CWS") is one of the largest privately-held provider of outsourcing services for bankcard-related products to banks and non-bank lenders in North America. CWS offers management expertise across the credit spectrum and supports both MasterCard and Visa accounts as well as a variety of private label debit, credit, stored value, and customer bankcards. Position Summary: The position is responsible for managing a large service and storage infrastructure. The responsibilities include provisioning, installation/configuration, monitoring, upgrading and maintenance of system hardware and software. Ensure highest levels of system and infrastructure availability. Provide tier 2 tier 3 escalation. In addition, this role will include functions involving data center management. Provide guidance and assistance to junior members of the team. This position requires sharing on-call responsibilities and some planned off-hour work. . Essential Functions: • Applies OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis • Upgrades administrative tools and utilities and configures and adds new services as necessary • Maintains and administer the company Active Directory infrastructure, including users, computers, security/distribution groups, organizational units, and group policy objects • Administers the company Single-Sign-On (SSO) solutionand configures new applications and maintain existing applications to take full advantage of SSO • Provides project management for system upgrades and rollouts where applicable • Analyzes hardware and software system performance, review monitoring tools, and perform routine maintenance as necessary • Escalates to management any issues of significant or immediate concern • Installs new or rebuilds existing servers in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements, including the configuration of hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. • Adheres to defined change control procedures and be able to work in a fully audited financial services environment using accepted best practices • Research and recommend innovative approaches for system administration tasks that leverage finite resources • Ensures that system hardware, operating systems and software systems adhere to company policies • Develops and maintains installation, configuration and hardening procedures • Assists in the administration of the Exchange email environment • Assists in the administration of the VMware virtual server environment • Provides helpdesk support as required by operational needs • Preforms other duties as assigned Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent combined education and experience required • Five (5) +years' experience working with Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems • Microsoft certification a plus • Cloud certification a plus • Experience and knowledge of industry compliance standards such as Payment Card Industry (PCI) preferred • Knowledge and experience with Linux is preferred • PowerShell scripting experience is preferred • Cloud knowledge AWS, Google, Azure preferred Summary of Qualifications: • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Server and Desktop Products • Knowledge of VMWare ESX server virtualization products • Success as a competent troubleshooter • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet appropriate deadlines • Excellent organizational skills • Foster company success through a professional appearance, being courteous to internal customers and associates, having a positive attitude, and being a team player • Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with essential job functions • Ability to multi-task is essential Work Environment/Physical Demands: • Work is in an office environment, sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time; works with computer equipment for prolonged periods of time • Some stress may occur • Travel is not generally required • This position reports to an assigned manager and supervises no one We offer a total rewards package comprised of a competitive base rate of pay, variable pay incentive programs based on the role, and a comprehensive benefit suite.
