Responsibility
Your role is critical to the overall operational and end User Experience (UX) as automation capabilities impacts each user across the global enterprise. Perform domain migrations, both internal and external to DISA, to include Active Directory, file services, print services, DHCP, and other commodity IT services. Resolve a wide range of system issues, troubleshooting software and hardware, diagnosis of network issues, and addressing trouble tickets and service tasks across all. Assist with achieving optimum performance and availability standards through implementing appropriate technical solutions. Responsible for completed the day-to-day tasks associated with system administration in the DES Compute Environment. Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Provide on call 24/7 support to the current operations team when troubleshooting/resolving incidents with enterprise systems. Provide escalation support to the NOC/monitoring team when troubleshooting issues with enterprise systems. Manage IT system infrastructure and continuously update associated processes process documentation. Work within the DevSecOps methodology to plan and support implementation of new technologies. Prepare recommendations for resolutions to NetOps challenges based on monitoring results, tools analysis, and/or forensics. Work with other service teams to resolve enterprise incidents as part of the DES Operations Problem Solving Team. Work with the monitoring team to address issue that will impact system availability. Attend meetings weekly and provide weekly status reports

The GES DES (Defense Enclave Services) team is supporting an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies and is currently seeking an Active Directory, System Administrator located at Ft. Meade, MD. PROGRAM SUMMARY: The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities’ common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA’s Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office.
