Responsibility
Maintain storage connected to a Storage Area Network (SAN). Knowledge of block-level protocols, specifically iSCSI. Maintain Hypervisors using VMware. Conduct training for all departments for overlap support and any cross-department end-user training. Assist with root cause analysis and resolve faults and errors in applications. Assist with development of recommendations for enhancing approaches for software support services. Ensure adherence to IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures. Update work instruction documentation and standard operating procedures. Ensure assigned operating systems and applications are compliant with all applicable Department of Defense (DoD) directives and guidelines, including Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) bulletins

About This Job Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for a system administrator. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. Certification Requirement The applicant must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification requirements upon hire date.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Other Skills (not necessarily required but will increase consideration for the position): • Assisting with maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure • Use of scripting to automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and/or AWS Console • Experience with Virtual Desktops • Experience with virtualization is required; VMware ESXi is preferred • Utilize DISA STIG checklists to assess and document compliance • Experience with supporting large-scale deployments as an administrator • Knowledge of migrating and/or extending on-premises software to the cloud • Knowledge of AWS Cloud Platform (IaaS) is preferred • Knowledge of load balancing/failover technologies • General understanding of antivirus software • General understanding of vulnerability scanning software • General understanding of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) • Ensure assigned operating systems and applications are compliant with all applicable Department of Defense (DoD) directives and guidelines, including Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) bulletins. • User acceptance testing (UAT) • Industry certifications • An active Top Secret clearance is preferred but not required Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $61830 - $105120 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
