Provide ongoing System Administration, maintenance and support of local and remote servers. Identify and address future needs to maintain operational readiness. Provide hardware, networking and software support of High Performance Computing (HPC) server and desktops. Coordinate and elevate issues to Global IT to support local site needs. Understand the unique needs of each site from modeling computers to large data storage. Ability to make decisions on networking - ports and distribution. Troubleshoot and resolve storage issues. Coordinate with desk-side support and special engineering software admin. Lab Hardware and Software Support:. Provide diagnostic and problem solving support for standard/ OEM and custom equipment in the labs. Support for connecting industrial equipment computers to the network. Coordinate with lab equipment vendors to troubleshoot issues and install patches and upgrades. Lead IT site audits and maintain inventory of all lab equipment and computers. Help resolve Level 1 Networking issues (eg. connect patch cords, configure IPs) of lab equipment. IT Security Support and Maintenance. Maintain IT security software for all lab equipment
