Responsibility

We are seeking a System Administrator for Deployed Ocean Systems to support development and testing of systems for undersea platforms. As a System Administrator for Deployed Ocean Systems, you will:. Contribute to the development and fielding of prototype naval systems. Provide system administration and engineering support to JHU/APL projects being worked in conjunction with the lead maintenance activities. Develop, maintain, and provide shore-based and at-sea training to Navy personnel. Lead, coordinate, and/or participate in system testing and troubleshooting activities for equipment on U.S. Naval platforms and in Government facilities. Develop and maintain technical manuals and procedures for the associated equipment. Prepare technical reports, present results, and demonstrate system capabilities to U.S. Navy and Government customers. Provide liaison between U.S. Navy Sailors, Program Management Offices, contractors, Fleet Commanders, and Lead Shipyard facilities as required. Are willing to work in a secure environment for extended hours as periodically required. Can support local and out of area travel required for support meetings and testing. Position will require travel to Navy facilities with possible embarkation on U.S. Naval vessels for short periods

Supporting testing and evaluation of equipment on U.S. Naval vessels, to include submarines, will also be required. • Hold an active Top Secret security clearance and can ultimately obtain a TS/SCI+poly level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.
