The Day Shift Support Aide is responsible for cleaning and supplying patient rooms, nursing stations, ancillary areas, and other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with the Medical Center objectives,. Shift working, 6:30am - 3:00pm. Rotating weekends required every other week,. Arrange furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs. Assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or upon request. Cleans housekeeping closet and maintains par levels. Collects and transport all waste, including RMW, according to policy. Dry and wet mops floors of rooms and offices. Collects And Transports all Clean and Soiled Linen. Dust mops and wet mops corridor, stairwells and other common areas. Empties waste receptacles and removes trash. Maintains assigned equipment for cleanliness and has repairs made when needed. Observes and reports the need to repair equipment, furniture, building and fixtures. Performs patient discharge cleaning using 7-step cleaning procedure and linen handling. Refills paper towels, toilet paper, soap and toilet seat dispensers

Job Overview: The Day Shift Support Aide is responsible for cleaning and supplying patient rooms, nursing stations, ancillary areas, and other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with the Medical Center objectives, Qualifications: Required: Successful completion of general and department specific orientation Preferred: Previous housekeeping experience preferred Scheduling Requirements: Shift working, 6:30am - 3:00pm Days of the week will vary, Rotating weekends required every other week, Full Time Essential Functions: Arrange furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs Assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or upon request Cleans housekeeping closet and maintains par levels Collects and transport all waste, including RMW, according to policy Compacts trash or places in containers Damp buffs and shampoo carpets with approved equipment Dry and wet mops floors of rooms and offices Collects And Transports all Clean and Soiled Linen Dust mops and wet mops corridor, stairwells and other common areas Empties waste receptacles and removes trash Maintains assigned equipment for cleanliness and has repairs made when needed Observes and reports the need to repair equipment, furniture, building and fixtures Performs patient discharge cleaning using 7-step cleaning procedure and linen handling Refills paper towels, toilet paper, soap and toilet seat dispensers Patient Ready Room: All patient rooms must be Patient ready at all times, Utilizes EVS AIDET practices
