Responsibility
Plan and implement menu development and nutrient analysis for all student meal programs. Plan and implement nutrition education programs to support the district wellness policy. Nutrition Program. Complete nutrient analysis of all menus to ensure adherence to U.S. Dietary Guidelines and School MealInitiative goals. Assist in developing and maintaining recipes and travel to cafeterias throughout the district to overseeproduction and ensure quality, standardization, and consistency. Coordinate with health services staff on special diet modifications or concerns. Implement physician orders for students with serious or severe food allergies. Plan and implement nutrition education programs to support the district wellness policy. Plan, design, and deliver training activities on equipment management, nutrition, and compliance for childnutrition staff. Assists in food cost analysis to ensure adherence to cost control and utilization of USDA commodities. Tracks commodity usage and inventory. Coordinates the evaluation of all food products and menu items using student surveys, plate waste surveys, and district taste test events. Implement federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and board policy. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required. Organize and conduct training programs to promote safe food handling and a safe work environment. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures
