Responsibility
United Airlines has a Flight Training Center located in Denver Colorado. The Supervisor of Simulator Maintenance is responsible for the coordination, assignment, tracking and technical evaluation of all maintenance activities on the training devices. The supervisor position is an Operational/Management position and is responsible for employees who are covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The position may require occasional overtime as per the Working Together Guidelines for management level employees. Monitor parts usage and requests to ensure the best maintenance and financial practices are followed. Ensure the FSTDs maintain an acceptable level of training performance. Manage employee attendance and scheduling of employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Interface with various Flight Simulator Training Device manufacturers for issue resolutions. Observe and apply Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) work rules, interfacing with union representatives and HR, and mitigate employee workgroup issues. Review individual work assignments with the assistance of the Lead Technicians ensuring discrepancies are assigned and corrective action is completed based on training impact. Ensure FAA 14 CFR Part 60 and SQMS compliance daily. Monitor progress and ensure FSTD readiness for annual Continuing Qualification (CQ) evaluations. Monitor the Flight Simulator training Device performance metrics, analyzing trends and coordinating corrective actions where necessary. Monitor discrepancies and report MMI issues as required. Monitor Preventative Maintenance actions for completion. Monitor FAA QTG tests for completion in the required time frame and coordinate any remedial activities required to ensure completion. Communication with the Fleet users to acquire feedback on maintenance actions and performance including operation reliability. Attend the monthly ‘How Goes It’ meetings between Engineering, Maintenance, and the Fleet users, providing the oversight and feedback on the course of action for issue resolution; prepare the documentation for use during the meeting. Counseling of employees on job performance and/or time and attendance issues; resolving conflict in the workplace

We are a 24 hour/7 day a week operation including weekends, nights, and holidays. This range is based on a full-time schedule.
