Job highlights

Qualification

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, has strong analytical skills, and is eager to learn. Currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program in computer science, statistics, bioinformatics or a similar field. Experience with predictive computational methods. Good programming skills using scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) and notebooks (e.g. R markdown, Jupyter notebook) as well as common statistical frameworks. Must be able to work full-time for the program duration. Excellent verbal and communication skills

Responsibility

We are looking for an intern to review existing machine learning algorithms to identify meaningful subgroups of patients based on longitudinal data. They will compare different methods using defined evaluation measures such as clinical response, time to progression, durable response, and safety events. Additionally, they will be involved in documenting the review and development processes. Investigate published machine learning methodologies used in the field and evaluate the performance of different methods in capturing subgroups of patients with different response profiles using a large collection of clinical and translational longitudinal data. Harmonize different clinical and translational data from multiple programs. Provide written documentation and specifications for developed methods and workflows. Presentation of results to multidisciplinary stakeholders

We bring a human touch to every treatment we pioneer. Join us and make a difference. Position Summary We are seeking an intern to join our Informatics and Predictive Science (IPS) team on the CAR T therapy program to investigate modeling methods focused on longitudinal biomarker data. We have collected extensive translational and clinical data spanning markers of pharmacodynamic response (quality and quantity of CAR T expansion), tumor biology, and patient health characteristics. We are looking for an intern to develop and/or test methodologies to analyze complex longitudinal biomarkers to inform our understanding of the mechanisms of resistance the treatment. The successful intern will gain experience in drug development processes, an understanding of the impact of exploratory biomarker analysis, and knowledge of CAR T therapy. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, has strong analytical skills, and is eager to learn. The intern will gain hands-on experience in computational research and contribute to the development of a novel cancer treatment.
