Starburst Administrator with AWS Title - Starburst Administrator with AWS Duration - 9+ Months Location – Raritan, NJ (Day1 Onsite) Responsibilities : • Administer and maintain Starburst clusters to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and address their requirements. • Implement and maintain security protocols and access controls for Starburst environments. • Perform routine system monitoring, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. • Optimize and fine-tune Starburst clusters for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. • Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages and automation tools. • Implement backup and recovery strategies for Starburst workloads. • Stay informed about the latest Starburst and AWS features, updates, and best practices. • Collaborate with cloud architects and DevOps teams to integrate Starburst into broader AWS environments. • Provide technical support and training to users of the Starburst platform. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Proven experience as a Starburst Administrator in an AWS environment. • Strong proficiency in managing and optimizing Starburst clusters. • Experience with Presto and related big data technologies. • Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud architecture. • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation. • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. • AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty certification is a plus.
