MSAD #41 Immediate Vacancy Maine State Licensed Clinical Social Worker MSAD#41 in Milo has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled LCSW at our Penquis Valley Middle and High School. Responsibilities include providing school-based counseling, social skills training and the development of pragmatic skills to individuals as well as small groups of students. Duties include working with school personnel, families and designated agencies to coordinate needed supports and services, and resolve personal, emotional, and social challenges that significantly interfere with a student’s educational performance/achievement. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team, form and maintain therapeutic relationships, facilitate a therapeutic learning environment, support/facilitate positive behavioral intervention and support practices, and think critically is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in school-based counseling.
