Responsibility

As a Science Education Administrator at Jefferson Lab, you will be a part of a motivated, energetic, and highly visible team working with area educators, students as well as the community. You will assist in planning and delivering education programs aligned with the science education program and the Jefferson Lab DOE mission. Your role will involve creating and promoting initiatives that inspire and engage the next generation of STEM professionals. Assist in planning and managing a broad scope of educational programs for teachers and students. Provide leadership for assigned educational programs, and the necessary administrative and logistical support, to achieve overall program success. Assess program results for the benefit of teachers and students. Develop and provide hands-on science and math activities and curriculum to teachers that build content knowledge and enhance teaching effectiveness in the classroom. Provide students and teachers with high quality and engaging educational experiences that build interest and competence in math and the physical sciences. Recruit and train Lab volunteers to serve as mentors and enthusiastic role models for both teachers and students. Ensures that all science education activities follow lab policies and place the highest priority on participant safety. Collaborate with internal teams, educators, and external partners to enhance educational programs and initiatives, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
