Responsibility
To lead OSQ work in the development and implementation of supports to schools identified for improvement. To lead the research of evidence-based interventions and supports in the academic supports, staffing supports, professional learning supports, or school climate supports domains. To guide School Quality Specialists in the supports of identified schools and divisions. To serve as the OSQ point of contact to work with designated schools/divisions supporting divisions and schools that are state and federally identified and require support and monitoring per identified processes. Leading the management of assigned domain supports within the Virginia Support Framework. To provide input to the Director of OSQ for their evaluation of OSQ specialists. To coordinate and/or lead projects in the Office, as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent, Director, or Associate Director. To assist the Director in the effective management and leadership of the OSQ team. To lead cross-agency initiatives and external partnerships to support goals of the agency and positively impact outcomes for LEAs. Capacity to manage execution of innovation within the office and externally with school division partners. Experience to collaborate, support and coach local school divisions for improved student outcomes. Ability to lead toward improved student performance and measure progress toward those outcomes grounded in the Virginia Support Framework

Ability to lead a group that connects with one or more agency or external providers of support. • Capacity to develop a strategic, systematic, and sustainable change agenda. • Ability to manage large scale instructional improvement programs and to communicate complex information to various audiences orally and in writing. • Capacity to manage execution of innovation within the office and externally with school division partners. • Experience to collaborate, support and coach local school divisions for improved student outcomes. • Ability to lead toward improved student performance and measure progress toward those outcomes grounded in the Virginia Support Framework. Additional Considerations • Experience in public education administration at the division or school level; administering comprehensive instructional programs and school improvement planning; and working with the public, administrators, and government officials to resolve educational issues. • An advanced college degree in Education, in Education Administration/Supervision, Education Leadership, or a related field preferred. • Proven track record of providing support to local administrators and instructional staff to support student growth and achievement. • Experience in coordinating and implementing school and division-level initiatives for challenged schools at school and or division-level • Experience in management of Federal 1003a grant fund management, is preferred. • Experience in coordinating and implementing a division level memorandum of understanding, is preferred.
