Responsibility
In this role you will assist with the day-to-day operations of an office by doing tasks such as filing paperwork, answering phone calls, and operating the truck scale. Operate a truck scale to weigh materials brought in. Direct customers/drivers to appropriate locations for unloading or loading. Operate a rail scale to weigh railcars in and out of the yard, create applicable shipping documents. Maintain an organized scale house and ensure all paperwork is up to date and is filed properly. Organizing and maintaining office supplies and office equipment. Mailing out scrap payments to suppliers. Answering phone and directing calls. Data entry/maintain various spreadsheets. Facilitating the creation of documents for shipping. Submit paperwork, invoices and photos for shipments. Coverage for absences (sickness, vacation etc.) for scale operator/dispatch/scale ticket payment. Other admin duties as assigned
