Responsibility

Assisting the Perioperative Business/Resource Manager with the overall day-to-day operations of the Perioperative Complex which includes OR, Anesthesia, PACU at both hospital campuses plus 3 ASC's with the addition of GI and Nursing Sedation to ensure efficient, cost effective, high quality patient care. Includes development and monitoring of operational systems, supervision of support staff, patient scheduling and billing, problem resolution. Supervision of the GI admin staff:. Day-to-day operations for scheduling / billing. Patient appointments and schedules. Oversee staff schedule for coverage in all areas. Partner with vendors to establish and maintain positive business relationships. Work with all levels of supply chain and management in establishing and maintaining appropriate par levels for supplies, monitors usage of par level supplies, works with inventory control in adjusting levels where appropriate and ensures removal of outdated supplies. Oversee both internal and external product planning activities such as recalls, backorders, trials, in-services, conversions, item adds. Create and maintains cost effective systems to ensure the availability of adequate resources for the department. Responsible for the timely acquisition and management of supplies, implants and surgical instrumentation. Collaborates with Supply Chain and the nursing team leads to Identify substitutes and resolves backorders at-risk for adverse clinical impact. Establish and maintain accurate inventory control over supplies / implants with Materials Distribution. Schedule routine meetings with clinical leads and materials distribution to improve service and quality outcomes. Researches and identifies opportunities with the Perioperative Business / Resource Manager related to products and supplies for standardization and cost savings opportunities. Monitor Green Security clearance, OR access and observer credentialing. Create service PO’s, process check requests and monitor purchase orders low on funds
