Adecco Medical & Science is seeking a contract Research Associate III for our pharmaceutical partner in Waltham, MA. The anticipated wage for this position is between $57 and $58.80. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria Research Associate III, one-year contract in Waltham, MA The Research Associate III (RA) in Genomic Medicine BioAnalytics (Waltham, MA) will be responsible for the execution and analysis of experiments and analytical procedures. They should display an investigative or technological competency in designing, executing and interpreting experiments and analytical procedures. The RA will investigate basic technical problems and perform routine scientific procedures and experiments under general supervision. This will require planning and prioritization of concurrent experimental procedures. The RA will work to integrate, compile, and tabulate data and assist supervisor in the analysis and interpretation of the results. May provide oral presentations on results to other department members. Works under active supervision. Follows established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy. Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Failure to achieve results or erroneous execution may cause delays in program schedules and may result in the allocation of additional resources. Frequent internal company contacts. Infrequent inter- departmental and outside constituent contacts on routine matters. Job Description: We are seeking a qualified research associate (contractor) to join our team and assist with mass spectrometry-based analysis for gene therapy/cell therapy. Our team focuses on oligo-nucleic acid and peptide mapping experiments on several types of LC-MS instruments as well as biophysical methods such as DLS and AUC. The successful candidate will design and carry out experiments, perform analyses and interpret analytical data to characterize DNA/RNA and protein. The individual will work closely with our team members to conduct analytical work for multiple projects in BioAnalytics within the Genomic Medicine Unit. Skills: • LC-MS experience in protein/ peptide analysis • Biophysical experience, e.g., DLS, AUC, MALS, MFI, cIEF • Biochemical experience, e.g., CE (protein and/or nucleic acid), enzyme assays Qualifications: Education BS or MS (1-6 years profession experience) or PhD (no prior experience) in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology or related life science fields The candidate must have excellent analytical laboratory instrumentation and protein analytics skills. A practical experience in sample preparation and HPLC analysis are required. Hands on experience in operating and maintaining mass spectrometers and biophysics techniques such as DLS are highly desirable. The candidate should be self-motivated, well organized, attending to detail, and a good oral and written communicator. The candidate must be able to work well in a team environment and have good problem-solving skills.
