The University of Kansas Health System's acquisition of our organization has set the stage for a bold new era of healthcare innovation Position Description: The registered nurse responsible for home healthcare services applies the basics of nursing process to facilitate collaborative and multidisciplinary care for their team of patients. The professional actively ensures consistent communication of the patient's status, plan of care, and progress, thereby promoting seamless continuity in healthcare delivery. Additionally, the RN actively educates and supports patients and their loved ones, providing comprehensive care for all their physiological and psychological needs. The home healthcare registered nurse complies with the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, adheres to specialty standards, and follows established organizational and departmental policies.
