Responsibility
As the Regional Manager – Student Housing, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, leasing, and maintenance of our student housing portfolio. Your experience with individual room leasing, academic calendars, and student-centric property management will be critical in driving occupancy, renewals, and tenant satisfaction. You will manage teams responsible for leasing, operations, and maintenance, ensuring all aspects of the student housing properties are running smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, you will manage vendor relationships, maintain unit inventory, and oversee website operations and marketing. Oversee the leasing process, including individual room leasing, roommate placement, roommate surveys, and renewals. Develop and maintain strong relationships with local universities, aligning leasing cycles and services with academic terms and calendars. Manage a team across leasing, operations, and maintenance departments, ensuring smooth collaboration and optimal property performance. Utilize property management systems, including Yardi, Rent Café, and Rent Café CRM, to track leasing, tenant communications, and operational workflows. Ensure that fully furnished units are well-maintained, tracking inventory and managing maintenance expectations and turn processes for student housing. Establish and maintain vendor relationships for furnishings, maintenance, and other property services. Lead website management, including updates, pricing strategies, and online marketing efforts for student housing properties. Analyze student housing pricing in the LA area, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining compliance with LA rent control laws and other regulations
