Location:Sproughton Reporting to:Quality Control Supervisor Hours:37.5 p/w on average – shift work (06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00 (1:1. Saturday cover also required approximately one weekend in three) Holiday entitlement - 25 days plus bank holidays (increases with long service) Liaison with:QC’s, Technical, Logistics Dept., Commercial Team, 3rd Party Operators Close working relationships with: ·Technical Department ·Logistics Department ·Third Party Operators Job Summary: ·Be an effective member of the QC team carrying out product sampling to ensure all inbound product is compliant with the relevant customer specifications. ·To carry out tasks delegated by the line supervisor. ·To be responsive to ad-hoc requests of information. ·To undertake additional work or projects at the discretion of the line manager. Key Accountabilities: ·Undertake the relevant QC testing on all products to ensure compliance with customer specifications. These QC tests include, tasting of a wide variety of products, some of which may be high in sugar or contain known allergens. Ensure that all documentation is completed in full, signed and dated and filed correctly. data entry and analysis. ·Escalate product issues to the supervisor. ·Calibrate daily the laboratory equipment Additional Requirements: • The above list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to carry out such other duties as required from time to time which are broadly consistent with the status of the post within the organisation. • Safe manual handling of weights up to 20kg. • Ensure customer and Company confidentiality at all times • Adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy at all times • Provide cover for colleagues as directed by your Line Manager • All staff are required to undertake training as determined by the Line Manager • This is a Display Screen Equipment (DSE) user regulated post. Measures of Performance: • Accuracy of data entry and retrieval. • Timekeeping • Communication Person Specification Attributes Essential Knowledge/Qualifications GCSE, grade C or above, English, Science Maths or equivalent. Computer literate Use of SAP (Desirable) Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel Ability to self manage and work well within a team Accurate data recording skills Clear communication An eye for detail Time management skills A creative approach to problem solving Ability to multi task and prioritise effectively to agreed deadlines Honesty and Due Diligence Determination; enthusiasm and commitment
