Pelham Laboratories Ltd are looking for a Quality Control Manager to maintain and improve the quality control systems and procedures to ensure compliance to Cosmetics Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) throughout the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious, dynamic, and expanding cosmetic product development and manufacturing business. The main duties and responsibilities of the role: · Ensuring the ISO 22716: 2007 Cosmetics - Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidance is followed and applied to the Goods Inwards, Warehouse, Bulk Manufacturing, Product Filling and Product Despatch departments. · Identify and schedule AQL inspection levels and creating/maintaining quality standards for all componentry and products. · Manage the QMS system and record quality metrics · Undertaking investigations into any Out of Specification results, Product Deviations and Customer Complaints, and identifying the relevant Corrective and Preventative Actions. · Identify opportunities for improved practices and procedures as part of the Continuous Improvement process. · Creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures and managing the Change Control process. · Scheduling and managing the internal audits of all departments in accordance with the current cosmetic GMP guidance. · Work collaboratively and pragmatically with the management team to allow the continued growth and flexibility of the business whilst ensuring product quality is paramount. · Reporting to the Technical Director and working collaboratively with the Heads of Manufacturing & Production to ensure that product quality and site hygiene standards are enforced and identify areas of improvement. · Host and manage annual inspections and site audits from the relevant certification bodies. · Challenge existing ways of working to ensure quality control measures and manufacturing best practice is applied to all processes. The successful candidate: · Ideally (but not essential) will have previous experience of the ISO 22716: 2007 Cosmetics - Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidance or the BRC Global Standard for Consumer Products – Personal Care & Household. · Can demonstrate equivalent Quality Control experience from the food manufacturing, household products or pharmaceutical industry if cosmetics experience is not available. · Have a good knowledge of quality control systems and processes and be able to schedule inspection schedules and set acceptable quality level limits. · Be competent and literate in using inspection equipment and reporting software tools. · Ensure full product traceability and document control measures are in place. · Work closely with our Supplier and Customer quality teams to build relationships and identify opportunities and processes as part of the continuous improvement strategy. · Be able to make decisions quickly and communicate the findings and recommendations to the business with confidence. · Have experience of managing a Quality Control team and can plan staffing requirements and identify training and resource requirements.
