Responsibility

In this role, you’ll lead day-to-day product management activities during our product launch phase and for the exponential growth period that follows. The Product Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle of our products. These responsibilities include understanding our customers’ needs and market requirements, developing technical documentation to support their work, answering technical questions, educating industry professionals, creating mockups and resources that support sales, and contributing to our goals for customer satisfaction and profitability. Manage the product lifecycle for the company’s first series of products as we enter the market. This work includes transitioning existing foundational resources into best-in-class technical and marketing resources for use by customers, partners, and vendors. Develop and maintain product documentation including data sheets, installation manuals, specifications resources, guidebooks, and more. Lead the translation of technical product and building science information into accessible and compelling digital and print content for use by sales and marketing teams. Provide expert technical assistance on our products to architects, specifiers, builders, contractors, and others to support market adoption. Track and communicate to internal and external stakeholders competitive product insights, product innovation milestones, codes and standards development, and other activities. Develop relationships with industry advocates, influencers, and decision makers to support codes and standards development and market adoption. Build relationships with industry peers and participate in the management of subcontractors and vendors that support our work. Actively participate in codes and standards development committees, meetings, and events. Educate industry professionals on our products through in-person meetings, jobsite demonstrations, conferences, and other events. Perform market and customer research in ways that effectively track the depth, breadth, applicability, profitability, and customer satisfaction of our product portfolio. Track industry trends and opportunities that contribute to new business opportunities. Participate in the development, maintenance, and distribution of presentations, brochures, technical collateral, and other resources to co-workers, customers, partners, and vendors. Actively participate in the development and distribution of educational and promotional video content, marketing collateral, and technical documentation. Support marketing campaigns by providing education, communications, and technical assistance to target audiences. Business Development Support. Participate in lead tracking and contact management activities with clients and partners within our CRM system. Attend in-person and remote meetings, events, and conferences to promote thought leadership and support product sales. Communicate product updates to customers, partners, and vendors. Participate in weekly team meetings to plan schedules and prioritize projects. Attend local, regional, and national events for client and vendor meetings and for professional development and continuing education purposes. Support partner companies with strategies and activities on an as needed basis

EXPERIENCE Required · Minimum of 3 to 7 years of product management experience with building products. · Experience supporting building products through codes and standards development. · Ability to generate customer interest and specifications based on a product’s technical attributes. · High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and other related software programs. · Dependable, self-directed, and able to complete tasks with limited supervision. · Effective in analyzing and presenting marketing and technical data. · Proactive problem solver with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. · Strong verbal and written communication skills; highly effective interpersonal skills. · Excellent attention to detail, organization, and team collaboration skills. Preferred But Not Required · Product management experience with exterior sheathing products. LOCATION · This position is based in our main office in Leland, North Carolina near Wilmington. Ideally, the Product Manager will live close to or within travel distance of our office.
