Responsibility
The Pharmaceutical Sales Representative at Kowa Pharmaceuticals America, Inc. is responsible for serving customers by selling pharmaceutical products and managing a defined geographic territory to achieve maximum sales goals while maintaining profitability. This role acts as the primary contact for customers and is tasked with executing marketing strategies and promoting Kowa products as directed by the District Manager. The territory primarily encompasses Prosper, TX, and includes surrounding areas such as Allen, Denton, Frisco, and McKinney. In this position, the representative will manage their territory by creating a daily plan of sales calls, utilizing analytical skills to identify potential customers and targets from digital data. The role requires independent driving of a company vehicle to make multiple stops throughout the day to engage with physicians and pharmacists. The representative will also operate a digital tablet or other devices to demonstrate Kowa's marketing and sales tools effectively. The representative is expected to maintain a comprehensive understanding of Kowa's products, articulating their clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals. This includes scheduling and participating in informational lunches and dinner programs, engaging speakers to provide clinical knowledge about disease states and treatments. Daily documentation of visits to physicians and pharmacists is required, along with meeting established sales goals and market share targets within the territory. Compliance with all relevant guidelines and company policies is essential, as is maintaining a professional appearance and work schedule. Manage territory by planning daily sales calls using analytical skills and judgment. Drive a company vehicle safely in accordance with company Fleet policy. Communicate with physicians and pharmacists through multiple stops during the workday. Demonstrate Kowa's marketing and sales tools using a digital tablet or device. Complete monthly inventory of product samples and marketing materials, regardless of weather conditions. Provide comprehensive clinical knowledge of Kowa's products to medical professionals. Schedule and participate in informational lunches and dinner programs with physicians and medical professionals. Record all visits to physicians and pharmacists daily using a digital device or paper form when necessary. Meet established sales goals and market share targets within the territory. Submit business expenses in a timely manner according to company policy. Travel independently for training and meetings, which may involve air travel and overnight stays.
