Responsibility

Participate in Internal Meetings including invention disclosure meetings with Innovation Governance Legal Team members, as well as The Cigna Group inventors. Work on key projects in areas such as identifying process improvement opportunities, e.g., within the patent process. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to successfully complete project work. Identify areas of process improvements for increased operational excellence. Other special projects based on need and interest, e.g., Artificial Intelligence & Privacy. Assist with ad-hoc legal projects that may arise as business needs change. Schedule: You must be available to work 40 hours/week for 10-12 consecutive weeks beginning May 19, 2025.  Working days are Monday – Friday

Where You’ll Work: Come join our team as a Patent and Innovation Law Intern this summer! As an intern, you will work as part of the Innovation Governance Legal team. This internship is project-oriented and will provide a lot of opportunity for hands-on experience. The intern will be working on identifying patentable innovations, patent prosecution, and legal process improvement, as well as gaining knowledge of various intellectual property legal tools. In addition, the intern will work on projects to support privacy law and artificial intelligence compliance.  You will have the opportunity to collaborate within your department and across the business while learning from some of our brightest and most innovative leaders in your area of focus.
