Responsibility
The essential duties of the Painter are to maintain, repair and achieve optimal aesthetics all wall & ceiling surfaces in the hotel. This role reports directly to the Director/Assistant Director of Engineer. The Painter will be an experienced professional with strong working knowledge of surface preparation, mixing/blending plaster, structo-Lite, etc, effectively and efficiently use appropriate brushes, rollers, etc. to apply paint, stains, varnishes & other coatings to walls, ceilings, etc. Provide for an exceptional guest experience. Work in a safe, clean and efficient manner. Make necessary on-site preparations (securing area, covering FF&E, etc.), floor surfaces, as necessary. Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, sandpaper, removing old paint. Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (ie compound, plaster). Skim coating of wall surfaces. Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture. Very adept and experienced with using associated tools and equipment, ie; rollers, brushes, scrapers, sanders, etc. Adhere to all health and safety precautions. Perform duties as reasonably assigned
