Responsibility

As world-leading manufacturer and direct seller of innovative laboratory tools and consumables for liquid handling and media preparation, you will sell products to prospects and customers and act as point of contact post-sale, focusing on ongoing customer satisfaction, retention, and growing business. The Account Manager will have a ‘hunter’ mentality and be eager to meet new customers. The Account Manager will function as a direct sales agent for the company in the South Bay, CA (San Jose, Palo Alto, Santa Clara, Mountain View) area. Actively meet with and call upon existing and new potential customers to give sales presentations, product demonstrations, and training on a regular basis. Close new product sales. Develop and deliver customer training. Maintain and strengthen customer relationships. Use Sales Force.com to track contacts, and opportunities and generate quotations. Prepare monthly sales forecast. Maintain a weekly calendar of activities. Attend industry-related trade shows, symposiums, and professional association meetings. Develop short and long-term goals and strategies for the territory. Create and develop new customer prospect accounts while leveraging existing relationships. Understanding of laboratory processes objectives and challenges

Must be able to make practical decisions with minimal direction to achieve budget goals • Knowledge of liquid handling, cell culture, microbiology, and basic research lab procedures a plus • Must be proficient with customer communication, reporting, time management and correspondence. • Self sufficient with strong interpersonal skills.
