Responsibility

Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, the Operations Manager will direct and coordinate the efficiency and positive environment of the entire Food and Beverage department. Help direct and be the point of contact for all department heads with the exception of the Director of Sales and Marketing and the Director of Human Resources. Maintain positive relations with staff through teaching, coaching, and continual communication of all items concerning their areas of expertise, individually and as a department as a whole. Foster a positive employee experience through trust building, open communication, and actively encouraging a positive environment. Analyze with each department head their goals identified and the action steps to achieve them within the identified length of time, and offer encouragement along the way. Monitor progress on a set schedule and report achievements and problem areas to the General Manager, their effect on profitability and stability of hotel operations. Ensure a positive guest experience through the quality and safety of the hotel product. Encourage creative and critical thinking for problem solving while ensuring the brand is maintained
