Job Summary: Working as an operations team member at a night market sounds exciting! Your role likely involves coordinating various aspects of the market to ensure everything runs smoothly. This could include setting up stalls, managing vendor logistics, ensuring cleanliness and safety, handling customer inquiries or issues, and possibly even organizing entertainment or special events. Night markets often have a vibrant atmosphere, so your job probably involves a lot of energy and interaction with both vendors and visitors. Key Responsibilities : • Setup and Preparation: Set up necessary equipment such as tables, chairs, signage, and trash bins. Arrive early to inspect the market area and ensure it is clean and ready for vendors and visitors. Coordinate with vendors to allocate stall locations according to the layout plan. • Vendor Support: Ensure vendors comply with market regulations regarding stall setup, product display, and safety standards. Address any issues or concerns raised by vendors promptly and professionally. • Crowd Control and Safety: Monitor crowd flow and ensure walkways are clear to prevent congestion. Enforce safety protocols such as maintaining fire lanes and emergency exits. Respond quickly to any safety hazards or incidents, coordinating with emergency services if necessary. • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Conduct regular patrols of the market area to identify and address any cleanliness issues. Empty trash bins as needed and ensure proper disposal of waste. Arrange for additional cleaning or maintenance services as required. • End-of-Day Procedures: Coordinate stall breakdown and assist vendors with packing up their belongings. Conduct a final inspection of the market area to ensure all equipment is properly stored and the site is clean. Secure the premises and lock up any facilities or storage areas. Document any incidents or noteworthy observations for reporting purposes. Qualifications : • High school diploma or equivalent. • Having experience in event management and facilities maintenance is preferred. • Physical stamina and ability to lifting and carrying heavy objects. • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during market operating hours. • Willingness to work outdoors and in variable weather conditions.
