Department Summary The Center for Anatomical Sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is located in the prestigious cultural district of Fort Worth, TX. Our mission is to offer quality educational activities, and to create scholarship in the anatomical sciences and allied health fields by providing students with dissection and prosection-based anatomy courses. We teach students In the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, Physical Therapy, Physician’s Assistant, Master of Medical Science, and UNTHSC/TCU MD School programs. The anatomical sciences at UNTHSC are team-taught, and all faculty are expected to contribute to both lecture and laboratory instruction in these disciplines.We have a very robust Willed Body Program that serves Tarrant County and numerous other North Texas communities. The Center is also home to the BioSkills of North Texas Laboratory that host clinical training activities for health care professionals from all over the U.S. These activities include training in orthopedic surgery, ultrasound guided pain management, spine and back pain management, and numerous other surgical training events. Training activities in the BioSkills Laboratory are designed for students, residents, clinicians, and a variety of other healthcare personnel. The Center is also home to the Structural Anatomy and Rehabilitation Sciences PhD program that prepares graduate students to teach anatomy at medical schools, health science centers, and undergraduate institutions. The Center’s faculty are involved in numerous K-12 science outreach programs, offering summer science campus, campus tours, and in-school events to make young students aware of anatomy and its relationship to medical education. Position Overview Multiple Positions Available The Center for Anatomical Sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire Hourly Medical Examiner Transports to join our team housed at the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office located at 2355 N. Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, 75207. Minimum Qualifications The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications: - TX Drivers License - Clean driving record Knowledge, Skills and Abilities None Preferred Qualifications None Required License/Registration/Certifications Texas Driver's License Job Duties: • Make removals of deceased individuals from place of death and transport to the Dallas County Medical Examiner for examination. - (Essential) • Inventory property and transporting evidence. - (Essential) • General cleanup of vehicles. - (Essential) Work Schedule: 7 days a week, 7 am – 3 pm Driving University Vehicle: Yes Security Sensitive: This is a Security Sensitive Position.
