The Role: The Logistics Manager will oversee supply chain processes and product delivery by tracking and reviewing invoices, shipment status, and delivery route activity. Your contribution to our vision (responsibilities): • Own the day-to-day logistics operations management for multiple locations. Manage quarterly budgets, invoice control, and capital improvement projects within location. • Create, lead, and support cross-functional company initiatives/projects. Drive alignment and prioritization of initiatives in a fast-paced environment. • Update and report KPIs to Logistics leadership. • Manage third-party logistic partners with associates on their teams dedicated to our account. • Monitor metrics for key performance indicators, vendor performance scorecards, and development of business cases to support logistics process changes and improvements. • Manage relationships with multiple internal customers at data centers. • Recognize improvement opportunities to the cost and quality of services to be provided. • Create documented business cases, present business cases to peers and management for approval, and provide ongoing project management. • Communicate all delays or variances in inbound/ outbound freight to the appropriate parties. • Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters; make adjustments where necessary. • Other related duties as assigned by direct supervisor. You bring: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. • 5 years of experience in logistics management. • 5 years of experience in operations management. • 3 years of experience managing third-party logistics providers/vendors. • Ability to effectively manage multiple and changing priorities. • Excellent decision-making, communications, and follow-up skills. • Ability to apply structured thinking and logic to your work and provide solutions to challenges. • Track record of success in operations management, problem solving, third-party logistics vendor relationships, budget creation, and cost management. • Experience managing operations in multiple locations simultaneously. • Professional experience in purchasing, ideally in solar, semiconductor, automotive industry, and or mechanical engineering. • Proficiency with MRP/ERP (SAP preferred) software platforms and Microsoft Office/365. • Language skills: English. A Plus: • Certification in relevant project management such as Project Management Professional certification. • Bilingual/ Spanish.
