Responsibility
Door Equipment Corp. is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the efficient movement of products, finished materials, and equipment within the plant and to external destinations. This role involves managing shipments, coordinating with suppliers and carriers, maintaining records, and ensuring that logistics activities align with the company's production and delivery requirements. The position requires a proactive individual who can work closely with production teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve logistics challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling pickups, preparing shipping documents, and monitoring delivery status. Work with production, planning, and procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods. Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and suppliers to negotiate contracts and resolve issues. Support warehouse operations and collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize processes and efficiency. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory. Assess and evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts and prices. Track orders and ensure timely delivery. Review quality of purchased products. Manage logistics and shipping arrangements. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand. Manage inventory levels and perform regular inventory audits. Resolve supplier or customer issues related to logistics. Work closely with other departments to ensure proper inventory levels and support
