Responsibility

The Logistics Analyst will support the team in creation of metrics and maintenance of costing models and KPIs creation and tracking trends for on-time performance, product flow, and costing for both inbound bookings and shipments and outbound deliveries to customers. This role will be responsible for maintenance of monthly rate charts utilized to create landed cost and average moving cost along with allocations with freight forwarders and domestic. Tracking changes in fuel surcharges and other seasonal surcharges. Maintenance of metrics, costing models, and KPIs for Logistics Director & Supply Chain team. Create and maintain matrices to calculate Landed Cost. Run analysis on costs and conditions in SAP on Purchase orders to understand Landed Cost of product. Review Finance reports to monitor planned vs. actual freight cost. Troubleshoot issues when actual exceeds planned. Audit freight invoices for compliance with negotiated rates and terms, and work with carriers to resolve rating/billing disputes. Creation and analysis of RFP and RFQ. Develop models, metrics, and analytical tools in MS Access and Excel to evaluate transportation cost/service changes and discover savings opportunities. Provide reporting and analysis in support of business operations (Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Customer Service, Sales team, etc.). Drive compliance with routing guides and core carrier usage. Manage 3 rd party vendor relationships and train new users on transportation systems and procedures. Manage logistics projects/implementations (new carriers, IT, systems, procedures). Creation and maintenance of Savings Trackers. Other duties as assigned. Work under intensive deadlines with frequent interruptions. Interact with managers, staff, cross functional partners and customers, and others encountered in the course of work
