Responsibility

The Logistics Analyst plays a key role in the logistics department, contributing to the efficient management of our supply chain and transportation operations. This position is responsible for analyzing data, optimizing logistics processes and working closely with the Accounts Payable team and vendors to oversee the management and processing of outstanding invoices. Additionally, it includes building relationships with vendors to troubleshoot invoices and execute agreed upon solutions. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Logistic Services and Analytics. Complete auditing and processing of all Supply Chain invoices associated with the movement, packaging, and storage of Westlake products. This effort is envisioned to be a combination of Logistics teamwork and coordination with Accounting and Accounts Payable. Audit, code, correct, and, where needed, work with the logistics teams to negotiate final charges with the supplier to reach an accurate, timely settlement. Dispute and document erroneous rates from carriers. Run, review, and maintain aging reports for all suppliers and review with management team monthly. Manages the collection of data and prepares processes and registers claims with suppliers for recovery of overcharges, losses and damages occasioned during the transport, storage and manipulation of Westlake products. Maintain claims records. Meet with vendors regularly to review disputed information, provide invoice status updates and develop and maintain vendor relationships. Meet with internal logistics teams to troubleshoot vendor data issues and implement solutions for timely payment of Supply Chain invoices. Comply with all Company policies and procedures. Any additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS • An Associates or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain & Logistics Management, Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline • Two years of experience preferred. • Must be proficient in Microsoft Power Point, Word, Excel, and computer-based application skills; SAP experience is highly desirable. • Strong written, verbal communication skills are required. • Candidate will be customer-focused and have a positive and patient attitude towards colleagues and customers and work well in a team environment • Self-starter, yet able to take and execute direction when needed. • Ideal candidate will seek to expand knowledge and grow in position.
