Our highly qualified staff support our culinary program in preparing tasty and nutritious food, made from scratch, with a strong emphasis on local and organically grown ingredients. This position is participating in decisions such as hiring, training and employee development and performance evaluations. Job Description Benefits/Perks: No Weekends Monday to Friday; 11am - 8pm Snacks and meals provided during shifts Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 13 paid holidays 401K with match Vacation and Sick days Essential Functions Achieve company objectives and promote Flagship brand values Enforce food safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment Develop and manage an employee engagement program Handle corrective actions, performance reviews, and HR matters Ensure key performance metrics are met (safety, staffing, attrition) Supervise staff scheduling, timekeeping, and productivity Coach, train, and discipline employees as needed Maintain high customer service standards and kitchen efficiency Oversee food production, inventory, and procurement Conduct daily food quality checks and enforce recipe adherence Ensure kitchen cleanliness and compliance with health regulations Ability to move throughout the café and kitchen High volume production & large batch cooking Interview and hire team members aligned with company values Perform additional duties as assigned Knowledge and Skills Expertise in food safety, OSHA, and Department of Health guidelines Strong verbal communication and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Microsoft Office and ERP software proficiency Organizational, knife-handling, and kitchen equipment skills Ability to work with and support union employees (if applicable) Ability to influence positive change and delegate tasks effectively Ability to understand and speak Spanish is a plus but not required Education & Experience Culinary degree preferred but not required 3-5 years of kitchen management experience in high-volume environments Proven track record of success, attendance, and safety in previous roles Work Environment Corporate kitchen with moderate to high noise levels Fast-paced, dynamic setting with frequent interruptions Exposure to food allergens, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations Potential hazards such as slippery floors and hot surfaces Requirements Active Management-Level Food Handler Certification (ServSafe) Consistent performance in a responsible and efficient manner Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs (items over 40 lbs require team lifting) Constant use of hands for food prep and cooking Exposure to heat, cold, greasy surfaces, and fumes Good vision and balance required for safe task execution Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
