Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. Duties • Perform industrial cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. • Conduct thorough custodial duties in commercial and residential settings. • Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. • Execute floor care procedures such as buffing and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained. • Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep. • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure that all areas are clean and presentable. • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. • Follow established safety protocols while using cleaning supplies and equipment. Experience • Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required. • Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus. • Experience in facilities maintenance or porter services is beneficial. • Knowledge of residential painting techniques can be advantageous for specific tasks. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
