Title: Infrastructure Project Manager: Central Administration #00108 State Role Title: Architect/Engineer I Hiring Range: $62,395 - $102,328 Pay Band: 5 Agency: Dept of Corr - Central Admin Location: DOC Headquarters Agency Website: www.vadoc.virginia.gov Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties Actively Participate in the productive, effective, and cost-efficient delivery of programs and services which support and enhance field operations to achieve the goals, mission, and vision of the Department. To provide professional oversight for authorized construction and design projects on behalf of the Department of Corrections for all phases of the work from inception to completion while assuring the Department’s needs are being met. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of the Department of General Services' policies and procedures. Ability to be accurate, self-regulating, and work independently and creatively, proven by experience managing long term and complex assignment(s). Ability to communicate in a highly refined and compelling manner, both written and verbal. Ability to negotiate with others to achieve results that are in the DOC's and the Commonwealth's best interest. Additional Considerations Comprehensive knowledge of the Department of Corrections' operations. Knowledge of the Department of Purchasing and Supply policies and procedures. Comprehensive knowledge of procurement and contracting, contract administration, and state procurement and its audit requirements. Prefer comprehensive knowledge of the Capital Outlay process and a full understanding of the Construction and Professional Services Manual (CPSM).
