Responsibility
Conduct imagery science in support of ground forces intelligence requirements. Process and exploit data, with an emphasis on full spectrum hyperspectral data, to support Army information needs. Develop new, and modernize existing algorithms, tools, and methodologies for exploitation of hyperspectral imagery. Conduct research, development, testing, and evaluation to identify new remote sensing applications with emphasis in hyperspectral imagery. Characterize data from existing and emerging ground, air, and space based spectral and remote sensing sensors. Operate field and lab instrumentation such as an ASD FieldSpec, Exoscan 4100, Cary 5000, Thermo Fisher iS50, and other radiometers as well as weather monitoring and calibration equipment within the CONUS and OCONUS. Author technical papers and presentations and present findings at community symposiums, meetings, and working groups

Job Description Solis Applied Science is seeking an Imagery Scientist to join our Charlottesville, VA team supporting the Army’s National Ground Intelligence Center. The candidate will work alongside recognized experts in the hyperspectral remote sensing community to modernize and advance the field of hyperspectral remote sensing.
