Experience with hydrographic and bathymetric software, as well as the ability to evaluate bathymetric/hydrographic data for use in NP4 procedures and products, is essential. Experience with performing quality assurance for bathymetric/hydrographic products, along with associated hardware/software systems, including documentation and configuration management, is necessary. Experience in fulfilling the requirements to conduct survey duties for up to 50% of the time. Combination of education and experience courses as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. Oceanography Series, 1360. Degree: major study of at least 24 semester hours in oceanography or a related discipline such as physics, meteorology, geophysics, mathematics, chemistry, engineering, geology, or biology, plus 20 additional semester hours in any combination of oceanography, physics, geophysics, chemistry, mathematics, meteorology, computer science, and engineering sciences.
