Responsibility

Purpose: To clean houseboat interiors and equipment, and ensure the proper inventory is in place for rental of boat. Retrieve maid’s checklist and prepare maid’s cleaning cart. Ensure cart is stocked to perform duties. Follow cleaning checklist completely and thoroughly. Report maintenance needs to the houseboat maintenance crew. Verify all inventory is on-board and clean. Clean all interior areas. Clean interior and exterior of windows. Replace lost or broken inventory. Always operate with an emphasis on guest hospitality. Operate equipment with energy conservation in mind. Be present at all departmental, resort and training meetings. Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employees (both within the department and in other resort departments). Maintain a positive attitude toward the resort and the job being performed. Be aware of daily activities and events at the resort. Be knowledgeable of all resort operations. Perform all reasonable job requests assigned by management

Job Title: Houseboat Housekeeper Department: Houseboats Reports to: Marina Manager Position Prerequisites: 1. Hotel/motel or janitorial experience preferred. 2. Ability to work with guest in all areas with a positive approach. 3. Ability to concentrate on detail and follow-up work while maintaining a high standard of guest satisfaction. 4. Ability to work as a team. Purpose: To clean houseboat interiors and equipment, and ensure the proper inventory is in place for rental of boat. Major Duties: 1. Retrieve maid’s checklist and prepare maid’s cleaning cart. Ensure cart is stocked to perform duties. 2. Follow cleaning checklist completely and thoroughly. 3. Report maintenance needs to the houseboat maintenance crew. 4. Verify all inventory is on-board and clean. 5. Clean all interior areas. 6. Clean interior and exterior of windows. 7. Replace lost or broken inventory. 8. Remove interior trash. 9. Always operate with an emphasis on guest hospitality. 10. Operate equipment with energy conservation in mind. 11. Adhere to safety policies. 12. Be present at all departmental, resort and training meetings. 13. Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employees (both within the department and in other resort departments). 14. Maintain a positive attitude toward the resort and the job being performed. General: 1. Be aware of daily activities and events at the resort. 2. Be knowledgeable of all resort operations. 3. Perform all reasonable job requests assigned by management. 4. Material handling: stooping, bending, lifting an average of 30 pounds will be part of some job requirements.
