Greet guests as they enter the café. Take customer orders within the POS system. Process all forms of payments efficiently, accurately and honestly. Provide efficient and personable customer service. Knowledge of Wonderstate coffees, café drinks, and food products (including dietary restrictions). Brew and maintain batch coffee, as well as hot and iced teas. Knowledge of merchandise (especially the brewing equipment). Stock disposables and set up bar areas for service and throughout the shift. Wash and keep dishes and glassware stocked. Package bakery food items. Maintain cleanliness of bar space, dining area and merchandise area; along with other areas within the café. Take out trash from the bar & dining area. Setup and breakdown of outdoor patio space. Proper storage of patio furniture. Follow Food Safe Serve and state sanitation guidelines. Identify regular customers. Exemplify the core values of Wonderstate Coffee. Weekend hours are required. Participation in special events or catering on occasion. Physical demands include bending, lifting 30 lbs repeatedly, repetitive movements and standing for long hours

Position Overview Hospitality is an ambassador for Wonderstate and holds the responsibility for providing our customers with a café experience that brings Wonderstate’s core values to life. Hospitality works closely with Café Manager, Front of House and Back of House to achieve the café’s goals. Requirements and Desired Skills • Ability to communicate clearly and promptly with coworkers, customers and vendors • Demonstrate strong multitasking skills. • Clear, friendly communication. • Desire to continually be challenged and grow as a professional. • Passion for ethically sourced, organic, high quality coffee and food, and supporting farmer cooperatives. Work Environment • Schedule varies each week • Weekend hours are required • Participation in quarterly deep clean process at least once a year • Participation in special events or catering on occasion • Participation in monthly staff meetings required • Physical demands include bending, lifting 30 lbs repeatedly, repetitive movements and standing for long hours Other duties Duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice. Hours, Wage & Location • Onsite, Madison, WI • Full-time/Part-time, weekends required • Tipped position - starting wage is $11 per hour, based on experience.
