Ten Broeck Center is hiring Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for our No Frills Program at a base pay of $36.00 per hour! We have shifts available for evenings (3 PM - 11 PM), overnights (11 PM - 7 AM), and weekends. Sign-on bonuses include $7,500 for Full-Time Evening, Overnight, or Double Weekend shifts, $5,000 for other Full-Time shifts, and $2,500 for Part-Time positions. Main Responsibilities of a No Frills LPN: • Conduct regular rounds with all residents/patients twice per shift and as needed. • Resolve employee issues according to procedures. • Alert the RN to resident issues (medical, psychological, etc.). • Accompany physicians on rounds, update on resident conditions, and transcribe orders. • Handle incidents, emergencies, transfers, and admissions in line with procedures, supported by a supervisor. • Engage in care planning processes. • Complete documentation requirements, such as Nurse's Notes and summaries, and perform shift-specific duties. • Inspect emergency equipment at the beginning of each shift. • Count controlled medications per protocol. • Administer scheduled and PRN medications, evaluating their efficacy. • Follow protocols for medication administration and documentation. • Confirm order accuracy and communicate with the pharmacy about reorders or discrepancies. • Maintain organized and clean medication storage. • Help charge nurse with summaries and other tasks. • Oversee direct care staff. • Assist with meal service in the dining areas. • Support transcribing orders and accompany physicians as needed. • Participate in developing resident care plans. • Administer resident treatments according to orders. • Evaluate the need for PRN treatments. • Maintain treatment carts in good condition and report discrepancies. Physical Requirements: • Able to lift, push, pull, and move at least 50 lbs. • Ability to bend, lift, and transport residents and equipment. • Competent in computer usage. Qualifications: • Must possess a valid NY LPN license. • Preferred experience in a skilled nursing setting.
