Work Environment: - Modern office setting - Food provided Home Health Aide Location: Penn Hills, PA Wilson's Family Home Care Agency, a leading provider of long-term care services, is currently seeking compassionate and skilled Home Health Aides to join our exceptional team in Penn Hills, PA. As a caregiver with us, you will play a vital role in delivering healthcare services to patients in their homes to ensure the continuity of their care plans. Job Overview: Job Duties: - Providing home health care services in patients' homes to maintain the plan of care. - Administering medications and treatments as required and documenting these services accurately in patients' charts. - Monitoring patients' health status and conducting routine health history observations. - Assisting patients and their families with daily living activities including eating, bathing, dressing, etc. - Scheduling and accompanying patients to appointments and procedures such as cataract or dental checkups, eye exams, lab tests, etc. - Supporting patients with mobility aids like wheelchairs or strollers and assisting with filling prescriptions. - Assisting patients with personal hygiene tasks like bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. - Providing emotional and social support by engaging with patients through various means of communication. - Performing administrative tasks such as verifying insurance coverage, updating records, and preparing reports including patient charts and doctor's notes. Skills: The ideal candidate should possess skills in medical records management, activities of daily living (ADLs), cooking assistance, knowledge of assisted living practices, hospice care support, general caregiving abilities, dementia care expertise, medication administration proficiency, employment documentation familiarity, and laundering skills. This is a full-time position requiring availability Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with a lunch break. The number of workdays per week may vary based on patient load.
