Responsibility

Stevenson is seeking a full-time Science teacher for the 2024-25 school year. The position’s main components include designing and implementing Chemistry and other Science courses, as well as serving as a back-up advisor. Filling this position will also support professional development while immersed in Stevenson's therapeutic program. Envision, design, and implement Science courses, including, but not limited to, Chemistry and Earth Science. Base curricular and instructional decisions on knowledge of differentiation and a deep understanding of individual learner profiles. Consider and actively seek colleague input and new understandings of students, particularly related to emotional complexity. Maintain clear, purposeful records of class plans and student performance. For teaching and advising, work closely with our Counseling Center to propel a therapeutic approach. Work as part of a cooperative and diverse team of educators and administrators. Continue intellectual and professional development
