A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights, as well as, overtime, weekends, and holidays. Work tasks requiring the incumbent to lift weight more than 50 pounds requires two or more persons
Responsibility
As an HVAC Control Technician, you will operate, repair, troubleshoot, maintain, and manage the control systems and associated subsystems; as well as coordinate with the designated liaison on all current and future modification to the BMS. Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on hardware for the assigned computer systems. Troubleshoot and schedule field repairs for instrumentation associated with the assigned computer systems. Troubleshoot software program problems in the assigned computer systems. Perform in-house training of personnel on operation of assigned systems. Make database changes, develop, and install graphic screens to enhance operation and maintenance. Monitor operations, implement new ideas, and establish trends toward Energy Management of the assigned systems. Define levels of access into the assigned systems. Develop and update floor plans or sensor locations throughout the building. Review and update alarm messages. Review alarm printout for possible system malfunctions. Conduct a daily inspection tour of the entire environmental control system, and related equipment, at this facility to perform period preventive maintenance. Test and adjust the control systems in accordance with a well-defined program. Install, maintain, and repair electronic and pneumatic equipment, such as building equipment controls, etc., and order parts required to make necessary repairs. Maintain a complete service workbench for electronic and/or pneumatic repairs. Synchronize operation of electric devices of 120 Volts and below, pneumatic, and mechanical sensing, control and recording devices. Adjust manual and automatic controls for HVAC systems. Check all safety valves and devices. Perform other job-related duties. Directs repair personnel as assigned. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Be well versed in AC/DC Electronic theory and solid-state electronics, digital electronic theory, DDC controls, computer operations and theory. • Familiarity with Honeywell Building Management System, Excel, and Excel 500 Systems, preferred • Ability to write correspondence. • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. • NFPA-70E Training • OSHA 10 Training PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbents may work in conditions that require operating industrial machinery/power tools and motor vehicles.
