Responsibility

The Grill Cook Steak Specialist is responsible for expertly preparing and cooking steaks and other grilled items in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment. This role requires precision, efficiency, and consistency in cooking premium steaks while adhering to strict food safety standards. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, maintains a clean and organized workstation, and works seamlessly with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service. Grill & Food Preparation. Masterfully grill and cook steaks to exact temperatures while maintaining speed and quality. Work efficiently in a high-volume setting, handling multiple orders simultaneously. Utilize proper seasoning, searing, and resting techniques to enhance flavor and tenderness. Regulate grill, oven, and broiler temperatures for optimal cooking conditions. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to specific recipes using various kitchen tools. Peel, dice, shred, and slice food products using electric equipment as needed. Ensure all food is prepared to the restaurant's presentation and quality standards. Sanitation & Safety Compliance. Maintain grill station cleanliness and organization throughout the shift. Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines. Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure compliance with health codes. Properly handle and store meats to maintain freshness and prevent contamination. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service. Assist in inventory management, reporting shortages, and restocking as needed. Support co-workers and assist with general kitchen duties as necessary. Work with efficiency and professionalism during high-traffic periods. Follow all restaurant policies and operational procedures to improve service and performance
